ABOUT ME

 I was raised in a big Italian family. I have been married for over 30 yrs.  I have 11 wonderful children and 15 grandchildren. I still have 3 children at home with the youngest being 16 yrs. old. We live on 5 beautiful acres, 4 miles from town.  

I began formal midwifery training in 2003. My life is dedicated to serving the Lord first.  As a midwife I feel I’m a tool in the hand of God.  God gives life and following in the footsteps of the midwives of old, I serve Him.

ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE
Being a mother of 11 children I have had alot of personal experience. I have experienced 6 hospital births and 5 home births. I believe personal experience is one of the bests teachers.

My medical midwifery training was very rigourous. It was a five year process to become a Certified Licensed Midwife in the state of Montana. The education gave me the resources to help others in a professional and safe manner.

I also have international experience. I spent a total of 8 weeks along the Mexican border at a birth clinic where they do 60 births per month. I spent 12 weeks in Tyler, TX. working under 2 very busy home birth midwives. I later spent 3 weeks at a Philippine birth center.
It has been my pleasure to work locally with doctors who support midwifery.

In 2003 I graduated from Association of Texas Midwives School, located in Tyler, Texas. This was done through a national board exam. I earned my national certification by the North American Registry of Midwives.

I have been licensed to practice midwifery in the state of Texas since August 2003. In the State of Montana I am a licensed under the board of Alternative Health Care since May of 2007. My license # is 36.

I have attended over 300 births to date. I opened the birth Center in Sept 2005, we have an average 15 births a year at this time leaving plenty of time to spend quality time with each client.

Family Birth Midwifery Services provides birth assistance in many areas in Montana: 

These include  Lincoln, Flathead, Glacier, Cascade and Sanders County.  Towns of  Libby, Eureka, Troy,  Kalispell, Noxon, Thompson Falls, Heron, Rexford, Shelby, Cut bank, Conrad and Great Falls. We also offer the birthing apartment to Idaho clients. (we are about 45 min from Bonners Ferry, Idaho.)
